Bio

Angelo Alfano is a psychiatric and family nurse practitioner with extensive experience treating burnout, addiction, anxiety, and the psychological fallout of rapid technological change. A graduate of Yale and Johns Hopkins, he has trained and worked across primary care, addiction, psychiatry, and emergency medicine systems, developing a reputation as a practical, clear-headed clinician who blends evidence-based care with grounded, accessible teaching. His work focuses on helping individuals and communities build psychological resilience in an era defined by automation, overwhelm, and accelerated disruption.

Angelo lives and writes in the redwoods of Humboldt County, where he and his family live on a homestead filled with fruit trees, chickens, bees, and the occasional existential reflection. How to Stay Sane While Robots Eat Your Job is his first book.
